OctaVR (com.enapp.octavr) · Enn's Lab
Last updated: 4 August 2026

This policy explains what OctaVR ("the app") does and does not do with your information. OctaVR is developed and published by Enn's Lab ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

In short: OctaVR has no user accounts and no servers of its own. Your videos, music and settings stay on your device. The only third parties involved are Google, which delivers advertising in the free version and processes purchases.

1. Our approach

OctaVR is a player for video files already on your device. There are no user accounts and we do not run a server. Playback and conversion happen entirely on your device.

2. Information we collect directly

None. OctaVR does not ask you to create an account, does not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and does not receive any information that identifies you.

3. Your video and audio files

You choose video and music files through the Android system file picker. The app receives access to the files you select so that it can play them. These files are read on your device only. They are never uploaded, copied to any server, scanned for content, or shared with us or with any third party.

The optional pre-optimization feature converts a selected video to a lower frame rate. The conversion runs entirely on your device and the resulting file is written to your device's storage.

4. Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally so that it can work as expected. This information is not transmitted anywhere and is removed when you uninstall the app.

5. Permissions

OctaVR does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, call logs or messages.

6. Advertising

The free version of OctaVR shows full-screen ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device model and operating system version, and general information about ad interactions. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you; we see only aggregate performance reports.

How Google uses this information is described in Google's privacy and terms. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised advertising, in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads.

Purchasing the premium unlock removes advertising from the app.

7. Purchases

The premium unlock is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google. We never see or store your payment card details, billing address, or Google account information. The app receives only a confirmation that a valid purchase exists for the device's Google account, which it uses to unlock the paid features.

8. Children

OctaVR is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the address below.

9. Deleting your information

Because everything the app stores is held on your device, uninstalling OctaVR removes it. You can also clear it at any time from Android's Settings → Apps → OctaVR → Storage → Clear data. Purchase records are held by Google Play and are restored when you reinstall the app.

10. Disclosure to third parties

We do not provide your information to third parties, except as required by law and except for the handling of information by Google that is inherent to the advertising and payment processing described above.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.

12. Contact

Questions about this policy or about how the app handles data can be sent to lifesymmetry0wyi@gmail.com.
